Christmas 2: Aftermath of the Holidays

Hi!
How was all of your Christmases? That's a weird word, isn't it? Christmases. Never heard of that. I hope I spelled it right. So do you all like my dramatic title? Maybe it's not that dramatic. Or maybe it's a little melodramatic, but I like things that way sometimes.

Anywho. . .

What was your favorite gift you got for Christmas?

Was it the fact that I just put another survey on this blog(like we don't have enough of those on here) I wouldn't doubt it if it wasn't, but half the time nobody answers these things, so I also wouldn't doubt if I'm just talking to myself here.

It's rather blustery outside. Yesterday morning, we were supposed to get 6 to 8 inches of snow. That evening we were supposed to get only 4 to 7 inches of snow. It would have been more accurate to say 0 to 1 inches of snow, 'cause that's all we got.

Thursday, December 23, 2010

Hey Inchers! Guess what! I'm done with the steriods that gave me the temperary diabedeas (or however you want to spell it because I know I spelled it wrong) for good. That means that I will recover and will never have to go through that agian. Well, Merry Christmass and a Happy New Year.

New Books

Hi everyone!
I'm writing the sequel to a twenty thousand word book I wrote in November. The book I wrote in November is called "Fantasya, A Giant Problem" the sequel is called. "Fantasya, The Trouble With Trolls". I can send you all the first book by e-mail. I'm also writing a book about fairies who go to a fairy school called "Fairy Mania, Quest for the Crystal". I'm still trying to decide if I should write a sequel to that one. Knowing me, I probably will! ;)

The Moon 2

Hello,

To sum up what the eclipse looked like in a couple words: REALLY COOL!

It was all copper colored. It was freezing cold outside and it was 2:45 in the morning, so I'm a little tired. But it was worth it.

Another thing.

HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE!!

Alex :)

The Moon

Hi,

Guess what's happening tonight.

A LUNAR ECLIPSE!!

The problem is that it's occuring at 2:45 A.M, and the chances that I'll stay up that late aren't very good. So I'll have to set my alarm, and be really tired tomorrow morning.

The Golden Snitch

Hi,

I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING!

Warning: Don't read this if you haven't made it to book and/or movie 7 of the Harry Potter series, as it will tell you things that you probably don't want to know.

In the movie of Harry Potter 7, Harry gets the Snitch that he caught in his first Quidditch match. Snitches have "flesh sense"(I think that's what it's called) so that it will remember the first person that touches it.

THIS IS A LIE!!

In Harry Potter movie number 1, Oliver Wood is showing Harry the different balls of Quidditch after Harry becomes Seeker. Oliver hands Harry the Snitch, so in the movies, Wood is the first person to touch the Snitch!

HA HA, I am on to you, Warner Brothers!

Just thought you would like to know!

Alex :D

Random Thought

Has anyone been feeding the fish? I think they look thinner, but maybe I'm imagining things. :)

Webkinz

Hi everyone!
Have any of you been on Webkinz recently? They changed it A LOT! There is this new thing called the Kinzville Map. You go there, and if you have completed these tasks, you can click on the location you want to go to and then you play in that location. You can level up on the key to Kinzville by doing special tasks and when you complet the shopping task, the educational task, and the gaming task, on level one, you get a prize and you can move onto level two! It's really fun. So far, I've almost completed level one. If you don't have a webkinz account, you should get one. Webkinz is awesome!

A Christmas Carol

Hi,

So, I went to see "A Christmas Carol" and it was really good. I've gone to see it a few times and they somehow find a way to make it scarier every year. I went to see it at this theatre in Allentown called Civic Thertre and they do the play every year. It's always a little different, so I never get bored with it.

Anywho, I'm sitting typing right now with Shep chained to my chair, and I keep dropping him treats so he'll stay settled a little bit.

Bye,

Alex :)

Wizards

I'm level 24 on Wizard101! In two more levels I get the Satyr, and when I finish the Krokosphinx I get Lifeblade!
Anyway, I just wanted to share that!
Bye!
Hello,

I just noticed something. There has been 100 posts on this blog! That's quite the achievement.

Anyways, I just wanted to type something. After this has been posted, we can refer to this blog as "Getwelljake101", as there will be 101 posts. Check back every day in case there's the slight off-chance that you'll learn something new(whether it's about blogs or not)! Of course, after somebody else posts something this won't be true, but it will be fun for the day that it was! I'm going to a play really soon called "A Christmas Carol" which I'm confident that majority of you have heard about. I mean really soon, like in the next couple of hours.

See y'all soon.

Some Stuff I Wanted To Type About

Hi,

I have a small story for you all.

Yesterday I went out for breakfast at the Dutch Way Restaurant. I've been there a few times, and every time I go there it seems to get better. One of the best things about the place is something they have on the menu. An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet! Buffets are probably one of the greater inventions of mankind, at least that's what I, myself, personally thinks.

Anyways, they have a very grand selection of foods to eat. I had eggs, french toast, a fruit salad, breakfast quiche(delicious), 1 and a half donuts, a bowl of ice cream(they have dessert, too!), and a few potato fries!

Does that sound like a lot?

It was. But it was also very delicious. You may be surprised that they have ice cream there. Or you may not. And you would probably be more surprised if I said that it was a serve-yourself-soft-serve-ice-cream-machine! So, you could potentially have nothing but ice cream for an entire breakfast. Not the most healthy meal in the world, but it most certainly is not the worst. I could name a million other things that are worse for you than a few bowls of ice cream. Of course, I am rather sure that most of you wouldn't want to hear about things so full of sugars and high fructose corn syrups that your body would be wide awake for weeks.

Oops . . . I just had my foot pressed against the chair I'm sitting in and now it's fallen asleep. The pain of a thousand little needles is pulsing through my foot, but I'm sure I'll get over it. Don't you hate it when you do that? I know I do.

I've been up since 8:00 this morning, and so far have gotten absolutely nothing accomplished. I doubt I'm going to get anything done by the end of the day, but that's perfectly okay with me.

I'm studying biology for homeschooling and I'm doing it out of a college level textbook, but it's a lot easier than I thought. Well so far it is. I'm only on chapter one, and there's so much information on a page that by the time you finished it you forget what the first sentence was even about. Sometimes when I'm reading, I'll start thinking about something else, and I will read a paragraph about 6 times and still have no clue what's going on. Whenever I do this I try focusing really hard on the book and I'll overfocus(is that even a thing?), and won't know what's going on anyways. When this happens, I simply stop reading and go do something else.

A Small Question

Hi,

I have a small question and if you would all post a comment, I would be very grateful.

What is your favorite vehicle for transportation(even if you've never ridden in, on , or under it)?

For example, you could say car, train, plane, bus, rocket ship, etc. My favorite is the hot air balloon, because they look really cool, and I think that the idea of riding in a giant copy of a balloon is pretty neat.

Alex :)
Alex, how and why do you eat that stuff. I'm not sure if I'm going to have a ice cream sandwitch for a while. Anyway, I just got a new nerf gun called the Maverick. It is my faverite because it's a six barrel, repeat blasting gun (manually, sadly). What's your faverite nerf gun. Comment all Inchers.

Oh hi,
Today was as usual as every other day.

Almost.

I got to try a new food today. It was a milk chocolate covered smore! It was superb. Other than that, everything is about the same!

This and That

Hi,
Last night we went to the Hershey Sweet Lights(I'm guessing most of you know what that is). It was really cool, but the biggest downside was that we had wait about an hour before we got in.

Here's a picture I drew on the computer program Paint.

I was just screwing around and this is what I arrived at. We put up our Christmas tree in Midnight's room as we figured the dog would continually attempt to tear the limbs off. It's an artificial tree, but still. Midnight likes to knock off the gingerbread ornaments on the tree and lick them and chew them and do all other kinds things to them. She likes gingerbread. I like gingerbread. I don't know anyone who doesn't like gingerbread. Or maybe I do and they have just never told me.

Here's a picture of Shep.

Isn't he cute?
On that note, I bid you all farewell.

Good day,
Alex

Patronuses

Oh hi,
I was watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban this morning and I started thinking
about Patronuses. If you haven't made it that far through the series you probably are clueless as to what I'm talking about, but if you have made it that far, I have a question.

What do you think your Patronus(if you could produce one)would take the form of?

I think mine would be an owl. Please post an answer!

Hi 2

Hi,
As you can see, I have failed to create a title that was even the slightest bit interesting. Right now all I could think to write was the horribly tasteless title of "hi 2".

Today(as you most likely know) it was snowing. And you may also know that I love snow. And if you didn't know, now you do. Anywho, right before we left for the YMCA, it started snowing! I ran outside and was dancing around as the fluffy white miracle fluttered around me. We got in the car and I stared out the window at the snow all the way there. Then when we left the Y two and a half hours later, it had stopped snowing. I was rather disappointed. But at least there was a layer of snow about a quarter of an inch high(only in some places, sadly)! That's looking at it with an positive attitude. If you wanted to look at the day with a negative attitude, you might get the following.

"A lousy quarter inch of snow?! It's December, I want to see three feet of nothing but whiteness! Bring on the snow!"

Or something like that.

I don't think that people appreciate the time that there given. Every moment slowly disappears
into the past. So take a little time to enjoy the day. Have a good Friday, December the 10!

Alex :)

Hi

Hi,
I couldn't think of a better title than "Hi" which I've used about a million times as the name for a post, but I didn't think of anything better. Actually I've never been able to come up with anything really good for a name on here, but I have used "Hi!" with an exclamation point on the end and "Hi!2" with a number 2 after it and to keep putting numbers after the word hi would be a tiresome and tedious work, which I would not have the patience to actually do or even to think about doing.

ANYWAYS. . .

Now that I've babbled on about how hard it is for me to come up with titles for posts on this blog, I can say what I was going to say.

HI!

Well, I got that out of my system.

Alex :)

Monday, December 6, 2010

Oh hi,
I'm pretty bored right now because I don't have anything interesting to do. I actually have to go and clean my room(ugh)but I thought that typing something would be much more fun! I thought it would be cool to post what the line for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one looked like on opening night! It popped out of the entrance and then sailed down the the side of the
building. . .

. . . then it went past the parking lot and around the corner.

And we got there at 11:00! this is the line at around 11:25.
Bye!

Maxim and Harry Potter

Hey, everyone!
Yesterday, (at around eleven something at night) Maxim finished Harry Potter seven! He has now read the entire series and watched all of the movies except for Harry Potter 7 Part 1 and 2! My mom's thinking about putting an interview with us answering questions about Harry Potter. Be sure to check it later today!

Peanut Butter and Jelly 2: Frozen Dessert

Hi,

I have a little story about something that just happened.

I was looking through the kitchen for a snack(I usually get snackish around 3:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon) and after checking the fridge and the cupboards at least 4 times a piece, I found something in the freezer. Our last ice cream sandwich. Yay! I took it out and was going to eat it when I started thinking. What did I start thinking about, you may ask? Something besides food, you will be happy to know.

No, not really. I thought about food. I thought about my past posts about food on this blog , and I decided to make a new food. A Peanut Butter and Jelly Ice Cream Sandwich!!
Here's a photo.

Does that look great, or what? An ice cream sandwich with peanut butter and jelly on top followed by a squirt of Reddi-wip, and dowsed in two kinds of syrup chocolate and Maple. Actually it greatly resembles my last PB&J, but this was different. It was better.
By the end of it I was thinking that it was probably too much suger(it was really sweet!), and I can't believe that right before my last bite I thought it would have been awesome if I had added some granulated sugar but I am darn glad that I hadn't.

I was thinking about putting marshmallows on toast tommorow, but that's a different story!

Alex :D

P.S. :Look what Shep did to a garbage bag! OH NO!

Sherlock Holmes

Hello,
I'm watching the new Sherlock Holmes(with Robert Downey Jr.). . . well I'm more just watching the parts I like. Or more so my favorite parts, I love the whole movie. All I want to do now today is play outside!

Alex :)

Yesterday

Hi everyone!
Yesterday was crazy. We got up not so early and were kind of late to something of Maxim's then we went into Harrisburg to drop off our vacuum. I don't think It's working right. Then we went to Chipotle which is a restaurant that's like a healthy, Mexican, Subway. (The restaurant Subway, not the form of transport.) Then we got gas and went home. When we got home we had to set up for our mom and dad's book club holiday party which was AWESOME! I got this puzzle book with different activities and Maxim got this magical creatures hand guide.
After that, Alex and Sophia's mom and dad stayed and talked for a while about our dogs. The word "squirrel" came up and Scout started whimpering and looking at our sliding glass door in the kitchen for the squirrel. It was pretty funny.
Now I think someone is chatting to me on e-mail so I'd better go.
Bye!

Snow and Ice Cream Sandwiches

Hi!
I don't know about the weather where all of you are(and I'm not going to find out), but earlier today over here in our town it was snowing! Not very much(you can't even see it on the ground), and not for very long but it's still snow to me. I'm not sure whether anyone else is as thrilled as I am to see snow(even though it has already snowed this year), but I love snow. Snow is the reason Winter is my favorite season of the year! Speaking of Winter, the first day of Winter is in 17 days, so get out your calenders and start checking off days!

So far today I haven't done much of anything except sit around and watch cartoons all morning and then sit around and do nothing. But I think that's what Saturdays were invented for! Rest and relaxation!

We got ice cream sandwiches yesterday and I am in fact eating my third one in the last 24 hours right now while I'm typing this with one hand. It's actually not that difficult except that the ice cream sandwiches are. . . oops, I just spilled some on my pants. Okay maybe it's not so easy, but anyhow. . . that's everything I've got to say!

Alex

Shep

Hi!
I only got up 30 minutes ago, but I usually check this blog right when I wake up. And sometimes I like to type things on this blog in the morning, or whenever I wake up(I'm not saying I always wake up in the morning, but 99% of the time I do). So, I thought I would talk about Shep. Shep was out for a walk this morning and apparently couldn't handle watching a bunch of squirrels, a horse and buggy, and the dog from two houses down. Whenever you tell Shep to do something, he will occasionally cock his head to the side so that one of his ears goes up, the other goes down and look at you with an expression that says "What are you going on about?" We're trying to get him introduced to our cat, Midnight, which isn't going great. We're introducing them through a gate so they can't hurt each other, but a usual meeting goes something like this.

Shep: BARK BARK BARK. . .growl. . . BARK BARK BARK!!

Midnight:HISS!

Shep: BARK BARK BARK!!

And that is usually when we stop.

Thanks for reading!
Alex

Fishes

Hello,
I am very surprised that the virtual fish on this blog after being fed so much aren't bigger than they are. Unless I'm the only one that feeds them on a regular basis, which I wouldn't doubt. All I know is that our goldfish at home have appeared to triple in size since we got them. This is probably accurate. Every time you walk by their tank whether to do some snack-searching in the kitchen, or to go to the couch after a fruitful or unfruitful snack-search, they swim to the side of the tank you walk past and start nibbling at the top of the water. You could most likely feed those fish every hour of the day until they grew so big that the tank just couldn't handle the fishes size(I read somewhere that the common goldfish can grow over a foot long, this may or may not be true). Speaking of fish, what do you call more than one fish? I just say "fishes"(as you may have noticed) but I'm pretty sure that the proper term is "fish". That just doesn't sound as nice, does it? Or maybe it does to you, I wouldn't know. I like "fishes" more. That's everything I have to say. I'm sure you all just sighed in relief "Oh good, he's done rambling on about fish," well I will hold you from your business no longer.

Alex
Hey Inchers, I found a Pokemon Advent Callender. It has games, puzzels, desktop backrounds, and more. Go to http://advent.serebii.net. Every Day the games and puzzels get harder and the downloadables get more christmissy (I guess), so be sure to check every day. And don't try to skip to the twenty-fourth, it wont work. I tried. Later!

Dictionary Word

Hi again!
If nobody posts anything while I'm typing this, I'm pretty sure this will be the 70th post on this blog. Today I was reading through the dictionary(which is quite interesting) and found this cool word.

Periwinkle - any of a genus (Littorina) of littoral edible marine snails.

In case you didn't know, littoral means growing on or near the shore, especially that of the sea. So periwinkle is a color and a kind of snail! I never knew that but maybe you did. Well that's everything!

Alex

P.S. Happy December! :)
