Hi!

I made a heavy metal song just now. Please tell me what you think I should add/take away, and what you thought of it. I combined my knowledge of rapid arpeggios with the sounds of some hard rock amps. Jake, if you learn how to accurately play this on the guitar, I'll give you a dollar(don't get your hopes up, listen to it first).

What's your favorite holiday cookie?

Mine are Biscoitos. They're Portuguese cookies. They're pretty plain and easy to make, but they taste SO GOOD! :D I have them for breakfast! :D We just made a whole batch yesterday. They're also really fun to make because once you make the dough, you can take some and shape it however you like! :D We make the classic shapes (like rings and pretzel looking twist), and we also make little balls for when you just want a taste, then we also make letters and shapes! :D

Unjournaling

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I got it for Christmas last year and it's FILLED with fun writing exercises! :D Here are some exercises:

Write a paragraph that starts with this sentence: Why don't you learn how to talk to a rooster? and ends with this one: She slugged him.

"Why don't you learn how to talk to a rooster?" Sheila's friend Albert asked.
Shelia shrugged.
"What's the point?"
"What's the point? Sheila, the point is so you can figure out what roosters are thinking! Didn't you ever wonder what your rooster thinks about?"
Sheila's rooster, Cluck, never really did anything except go, "Cockadoodledoo!" in the morning.
"Not really," She said. "They don't do much, and it's impossible to talk to one."
"It is not!" Albert protested. "You're just too dumb to figure out how to talk to one!"
She slugged him.

You are a farmer who wants personalized license plates. You aren't allowed to use more than seven letters and one hyphen or space. Come up with at least three ideas for your plates.

"While I was getting out of bed this morning, I wondered, 'What do dogs think about when they see a squirrel? Your watch looks really cheap. Did you get it out of a toy machine? Do you think my hair looks nice? Your car needs a wash. It's really dirty. Boy, Mrs. Henderson needs to lose a little weight. My mother says that I need to take better care of my room if I want my own car. I can't believe your mother let you get a car when your room always looks like a garbage dump! I love your hair today. What did you do to it? I hope the restaurant we're going to isn't like the one we went to last time! I could've sworn the cheese they used was starting to get moldy!"

X Factor

Who here likes X Factor? I DO! :D I'm doing reviews of the shows on my blog. Click HERE to see it! :D It's a lot like American Idol in some ways, and in other ways it's not. I personally think it's WAY better than AI! :D My favorite contestants are Rachel Crow, Drew, and Josh Kracjick! :D If you're not watching it, you should watch it! :D The performances are on every Wednesday (I'm pretty sure at eight o'clock) and the elimination shows are on every Thursday (not sure what time).

MIDI Controller

Hi!

Finally figured out how to get my MIDI controller hooked up! What this means is that I can plug the controller into the computer(it's actually my keyboard that happens to have these abilities) and go into FL Studio and play my actual keyboard and have it show up on the program! It's pretty cool actually.

I Don't Think I'll Ever Eat Strawberry Pop-Tarts Again

My mom showed us something that was very interesting on 60 Minutes today. It was all about flavorings in foods. How they make it so people will be addicted to it, how to make the perfect mixture so it will smell and taste good, etc. Anyway, I learned a fact that will either make you say, "Awesome!" (if you happen to like gross things) or vomit (if you have a queasy stomach).
Some strawberry and vanilla flavoring have "all natural flavors". What they don't tell you is what's so natural about them. You see "natural flavors" on a strawberry pop-tart box or vanilla wafers and think "Oh yeah, they actually use strawberries and vanilla". In some cases that's true, in others that's not.
I learned that some "natural" strawberry and vanilla flavors are made from the glands of a beaver's backside. I said it. Feel free to tell all of your friends or vomit. Goodbye! :D

Well I'm not going to be finishing NaNoWriMo this year. My story sort of fell apart as I was writing and thus I think my limit is about 10,000 words. Dang you inner editor. One thing I could do is write 35,000 seconds of music. That's equivalent to 9.75 hours. That is doable for me in a month, plus, I would honestly have more fun. Anyways, congrats to those of you who made it to your goals!

Jake, thought you'd like to know that Single-Player Commands is out for 1.0.0. Was a little tricky to install, because when I downloaded it, it put all of the files into one folder, so I had to seperate which ones had to go into where. Read the .txt file that comes with it, you'll probably need it. Here's a link to the minecraft forums.

Go to the Automated Installer under the downloads section. For some reason when I tested the link, it sent me down the page a ways, not sure why.

Black Friday and a Happy Thanksgiving

Hi.

So I know that it's a little late, but I thought I would post something anyways. I just got back from Black Friday shopping, which happened on a Thursday, because people want things now and they are going to continue to move the time they start their sales back until you do your Black Friday shopping on a Monday.

Weird.

I will now share with you the spoils of our efforts: nothing. After inching through the mass hysteria that is currently Wal-Mart, we made it to the electronics section at which people were waiting for games to be brought out that were supposed to be there half an hour ago. I wanted to get the new Legend of Zelda game that came out, but they didn't have it in the combo pack in which you receive a Wii remote Plus with it. Strike one. Strike two was the Epic Mickey game that was going to be 15$ which was there, but locked behind a glass case. For strike three I found Batman LEGO, but after waiting for somewhere around what felt like 10 minutes in line, we hadn't gone anywhere. It wasn't worth the 5 bucks I would have saved on it anyways. The parking lot was literally filled. No joke.

Every.

Single.

Parking.

Space.

The only way that you could get a space is if you drove around aimlessly until someone pulled out right in front of you(that may be an exaggeration). The only upside is that we got some chocolate mint chip ice cream on the way home. If you haven't gone shopping on Black Friday yet, I don't recommend doing so. It isn't really worth the money you would save, although others will probably beg to differ. They don't know what they're talking about.

Wow

This thing looks incredible. I want one sooooooooo badly, although I don't think it's real, just a concept. Either way I want it, and I'm 99% all of you would want one of them, too. Behold the Island Yacht.
